The Keitech Shad Impact silicone lure takes the form of a fish, but since it lacks a paddle or a flat, elongated tail like a twister, it's a slug. It doesn't possess its own action, which means the angler is practically limitless in the ways they can animate the lure to achieve results when targeting passive fish. The body has a moderate height and is slightly flattened on the sides, giving the lure the appearance of a small roach or minnow. Grooves on the back and belly facilitate the installation of an offset hook and maintain the integrity of the artificial fish when threading it onto the hook. As the silicone is soft, the hidden hook point quickly releases during a strike, ensuring a solid hookset on the fish. This model is suitable for use in still waters, as the slender tail comes to life with a slight twitch of the rod tip. It also performs well in currents, attracting perch, zander, pike, chub and many saltwater species with its lifelike behaviour. Bullet and disassembled sinkers are used to weigh the slug.
